Pickup and drop-off: B1, B2 and ground level
01
To the rail station: ordinary taxi drop-off at B1
- MTR identifies B1 as the drop-off level for ordinary taxis travelling to West Kowloon.
- Ticket checks, security and immigration still follow; getting out of the car is not reaching the boarding gate.
- Booked vehicles follow confirmed arrangements and on-site directions.
02
Leaving by ordinary taxi: follow signs to B2
- After arrival procedures, follow signs to the B2 taxi stand.
- This is the ordinary taxi waiting area.
- If you have a booking, check the driver’s meeting instructions before changing floors.
03
Booked vehicles: confirm the entrance first
- MTR lists a booked taxi/car pickup and drop-off area on Wui Man Road at ground-level Exit B.
- Have the fleet confirm the usable location, vehicle and meeting time.
- An official description of dedicated bays does not establish access arrangements for this fleet.
04
Rail: check direction, first and last trains
- Kowloon → airport: first 05:53; last 00:52.
- Airport → city: first 05:54; last 00:48.
- Check the date across midnight; allow for baggage collection and reaching the platform.
- Recheck the MTR timetable for your travel day.
Plan each direction separately
Landing time, train arrival time or a map’s driving estimate does not establish a safe connection. Start with when the next service requires you to arrive, then work backwards.
- 01
Airport → West Kowloon high-speed rail
- Land, clear immigration and collect bags → transport → ride, or rail plus walking → high-speed rail procedures.
- Rail procedures: usually 30–45 minutes; allow more on busy dates, at traditional counters or with a passport.
- Real-name checking / ticket verification: ends 30 minutes before departure.
- B3 boarding gates: close 5 minutes before departure. This is a different cutoff.
- 02
West Kowloon high-speed rail → airport
- Train arrives → complete arrival procedures and leave the station → reach the confirmed meeting point or walk to Kowloon Station → travel to the airport → airline check-in, bag drop and boarding.
- Check your terminal and airline cutoffs, then add transfer and traffic buffers.
- Take-off time is not your airport arrival target.
These are planning steps, not a guaranteed connection time. Flight delays, immigration queues and traffic can change the journey. A vehicle booking does not guarantee that you will catch a train or flight.
Check high-speed rail procedures and cutoffsPrepare your transfer enquiry
- Direction and date: airport to rail station, or rail station to airport. Check dates across midnight.
- Train number, arrival/departure time, flight number and your airline’s required airport arrival time.
- Full station name, total passengers, bag counts and dimensions, plus any meeting arrangements to coordinate.
- Have the fleet confirm availability, total fare, vehicle and pickup/drop-off point. A district estimate does not replace a confirmed quote.
West Kowloon Station is not listed among the current district options. Use the contact option on the booking page to confirm the trip first; selecting Tsim Sha Tsui does not establish a station-specific quote.
West Kowloon airport connection questions
- Are Kowloon Station and West Kowloon Station the same?
- No. Kowloon serves the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line; Hong Kong West Kowloon serves high-speed rail. Pedestrian links connect them, but allow time to change stations.
- Does the 22-minute Airport Express ride cover the whole transfer?
- No. The 22 minutes covers the train ride between Kowloon Station and the airport. It excludes the walk from West Kowloon, waiting, immigration and airport procedures.
- Can I book West Kowloon using the Tsim Sha Tsui price?
- Do not apply it automatically. There is no published West Kowloon station-specific fixed fare. Share the direction, date, train, flight and luggage details so the fleet can confirm the total.
- Can I check my bags in town and go straight to boarding?
- In-town check-in or baggage services apply only to participating airlines and specified conditions, with separate arrangements at each location. Check the airport’s official information and your airline before relying on them.
